Onions

Who could ever think of onions being inspiring? Sure, onions really are worth being 'transformed' into art! There's even an
IUOMA 'Onions' group.
As a reply to the onions Katerina Nikoltsou had sent me from Greece, I drew, coloured and packed onions, and created an onion stamp.

Watching you watching me (part 4)

It's funny to discover 'faces' in objects. And mail art is a nice way to share these discoveries with other people (which is also good for the mail companies).

Did you ever have had the idea, at the highway, that the car before you was watching you? :-)
As an answer to my 'Watching you watching me #2' tree JOB [5Blanks] sent me this 'Watching', part 3 - thanks a lot, Job! To which I made this reply.

Tiuri

The Mail a Smile challenge of July was 'Your favorite childhood book'.
The letter for the King by Tonke Dragt I read when I was about 12 years old. I re-read it two years ago, and still think it a wonderful book. About friendship, about courage, authenticity and uncertainty, about loyalty and rivalry. In brief: about human.
The illustration above I drew after the cover of the first version we had (which I read in the seventies). Not before many years later I learned that Tonke Dragt not only had written this beautiful story, but that she also has made the imagination-capturing illustrations to the book.

'n Bloemetje

Mariana Serban has sent me many extraordinary works of mail art, for the 'Your Doctor in Mail Art' project and for 'Our Solitudes'. For the latter she even has sent beautiful works of mail art created by her students.
Alas I'm a far more slow creator (due to an other job and family life which absorb most of my time). Anyhow, here it is finally, my first reply in the form of a bunch of flowers.
